What is included in our Critical Injury Bleed Control Kit?
- HypaCover Trauma Dressings (Large) – These dressings absorb larger volumes of exudate than normal dressings, allowing pressure to be maintained with the dressings needing to be removed less frequently.
- HypaTouch Nitrile Gloves – Having gloves reduces the risk of infection both to the wound and to the first aider from blood borne viruses.
- HypaStop Haemostatic Dressings (10cm x 10cm) – These dressings are specially treated wound dressings designed to rapidly stop bleeding, especially in severe or life-threatening situations. They contain agents that accelerate the blood clotting process when applied directly to a wound.
- HypaGuard Foil Blanket - Ideal for casualties in shock or suffering from hypothermia.
- Emergency Tourniquet – Apply the tourniquet above the wound and tighten to stop blood flow, thus stopping the life-threatening bleeding.
- Clothing Cutters – Removes clothing that is obstructing access to the wound or preventing first aid treatment from taking place.
